After many, many hours editing and revising and then screen testing, the film is finally done.

So, what happens now? Well we're in the process of putting the final touches to the release DVD. This will go off to various film festivals which we're applying to now. The subtitles in English are done (also English for the hard of hearing) but we'll also add the following subtitles:
Greek
Spanish
Italian
German
And any other languages we can find people to help with!
Teasing the GA
We have put together the first Teaser Trailer for the Greek-American.
Essentially a teaser trailer is a brief collection of shots from the film which are there to give a taste of what it is all about. It's not like a trailer in the normal sense in that it doesn't try to explain the story, but rather it gives a feel of what you can expect. Teasers are usually very short.
Adobe Flash Player not installed or older than 9.0.115!
As far as everything else goes; the film has two small scenes to film, it is generally edited and we have a completion date of about the end of May!

Careful Planning
Sunday was an outdoor shoot. We carefully planned it so we would avoid the rain, watching the weather forecasts and keeping an eye on the clouds above.
Which was utterly useless since when we got into the hills around Athens it decided to open up and drench us all. We got wet. The equipment got wet and the dog got wet. But then again, he enjoys sitting in puddles so he didn't mind as much as we did.
The location was where we take the dog for a walk most days, so it just seemed right to include the dog in the scene. In the finished film he'll be there, running about doing dog like stuff and his name on the credits. Do they include animal names on IMDB?
This week's edition of Athens Plus has just published an article on the film - it explains a bit more about the thinking behind it all and hints at what is to come!
Last weekend was full on with filming both Saturday and Sunday - plus of several days of preparation beforehand in getting everything together and organising locations and times.
After a long search we found our leading lady. Lida is perfect for the role: she combines a vulnerability and gentleness which is needed in the movie and yet behind it all we can see the strength of character which is there when it is needed. On this first day of shooting among us she gave an outstanding performance which looks simply marvellous on film!
We filmed up in Kifissia in a large private apartment and hired in equipment for the day: monitors, tripods, lights and sound plus seemingly miles of cables and tape to hold everything down.
